Remodeling the Pogue kitchen involved using a previously unfinished closed in porch to expand the kitchen and dining to a roomy modern central living space. The split design of the cathedral ceiling leading int the flat kitchen ceiling both define the spaces as well as add a dramatic architectural element showcasing the fireplace as well as a multitude of angles and shadows. The herringbone backsplash became a theme throughout their house later being added to two renovated bathrooms.
